*27th November-Rum Tasting*
Forget Bob Marley and sugarcane, the Caribbean’s ultimate export *has* to
be rum and Lock 91 are paying homage to this spirit with a tasting session.
Guests will be able to sample Lock 91‘s selection of fine rums and also
receive a rum based cocktail from the Lock 91 menu at the end of the
session. Drinks expert and enthusiastic rum drinker Dave Marsland will be
on hand to initiate discussions on the spirit and share his passion for
rum!

*29th November-Shave The Date*
To show their support for the worthy Movember cause this year, Lock 91 are
inviting Mo Bros and Mo Sistas to a party to see off the month of growing
in true gentlemanly style. The bar will play host to a team from classic
shoemakers Jeffery West who will offer complimentary shoe shines to
guests. Professional barber, Johnny the BaBa, will also be there for the
whole night to trim and tidy those tashes before they are reintroduced to
that old friend, the razor. Competitions will be held throughout the night
with an array of prizes up for grabs including Aspire Couture Movember
T-shirts, bottles of Prosecco, and moustache wax and the club room will
feature a Movember wall of fame where the month’s facial hair growth can be
admired. Get set for an evening of gentlemanly refinery at this canal side
cottage!
This event will run from 6pm til’ late, entrance is free and the bar will
be collecting donations on the night to go towards the Movember campaign
which aims to change the face of men’s health through raising awareness of
prostate and testicular cancer and mental illness.
*29th November-Acoustic Session*
Come down to Lock 91 for an evening of live acoustic music organised by
music moghul, Tuesday Tony. He will be bringing the freshest local talent
down to the venue on Friday 29th November to tune their guitar strings and
entertain Lock 91 guests, so kick back with a drink and listen to some
great tunes!
This event will start at 9pm and entry is free
*31st December-Elbow Deep *
Celebrate the beginning of a new year with Lock 91 at deep house night
Elbow Deep. With one of the most exciting new collaborations to come out of
the UK, Fake Remedy hitting the decks alongside Lock 91 regular DJ Ryan
James and Red Lab UK. Prepare for a roof raising night of deep house and
techno, with 15 DJ’s over 3 floors & heated terrace this is surely going to
be one massive house party to see in 2014!
Advance Tickets £10 available from November 1st – Limited amount available
£15 afterwards, considerably more on the door.

Speakeasy Fridays run on the second and fourth Friday of every month from
9:30pm and entry is free.

Every Saturday night at Lock 91 check out DJ Swindel, DJ Ryan James and DJ
Dave Unsworth and monthly DJ guests on rotation for Lock 91 Saturdays,
playing the best tunes from the chart R’n’B, commercial dance, POP, Rock
and much much, much more to a packed club room dance floor.

*Third Saturday of the month-Elbow Deep*
On the third Saturday of the month, the old lock keeper’s cottage plays
host to Elbow Deep. Expect all the biggest tunes from the deep house &
techno scene at this roof raising night at Lock 91!
Elbow Deep runs every third Saturday of the month from 10:30pm and entry
is £5.00
This bar, club and lounge in an early 19th century lock keepers cottage
near Castlefield is one of the city’s hidden gems.
The once derelict, beautiful building was refurbished returning it to it’s
former glory a year ago and now features five luxurious rooms across three
floors where Mancunians can relax with friends, enjoy a game of pool or
dance into the night in the club room.
