UK TIKI FEST (October 14th – 20th 2013) is to set to be a weeklong extravaganza celebrating all things Tiki!!

Venues across Manchester will come together, led by event curators Captain Lyndon Higginson of The Liars Club and Bart Murphy of Hula Lounge, to create a week long festival of all things Tiki with great deals on drinks and a series of must visit events.

To get involved rum fans need to get themselves a UK Tiki Fest wristband, available for just £5 from participating venues, which will entitle them to entrance to any of the week’s events along with cocktails from the bars for just £5.

At The Liars Club

Monday 14 October – El Dorado twisted Pińa Colada Foam Party! DJ’s all night playing everything from dodgy disco party tunes to banging reggae hits – Watch out! – This will be one hell of an opening night!!! Don’t forget your bikinis girls.

Tuesday 15 October – Bacardi Tiki meets Speakeasy party – The ultimate night out with drinks being made by the bar team at Soho’s favourite cocktail bar and members’ club, Milk and Honey. Dress to impress.

Wednesday 16 October – The party above the clouds (in a basement) with Ron Zacapa. Signature serves all night long with Guatemala’s finest rums.

Thursday 17 October – Celebrate The Liars Club’s 2nd birthday with a Jamaican beach party with Appleton Rum plus a Tiki steel band.

Sunday 20 October – Sailor Jerry closing party with DJ Peter Parker (Fingerthing).

All events run 8pm ‘til late and entrance will be on a first come first served basis for wristband holders only.

At Hula Tiki Lounge

Monday 14 October – Kahlua ‘Up All Night’ with Murkage Dave vs Juicy Djs head to head on the decks late into the night.

Tuesday 15 October – from 6pm join the Rhum Rhumble; a French Tiki punch party complete with an interactive tasting with La Mauny. Make your own Punch kits will be available at cost price to wristband holders all night so guests can carry on the party at home afterwards!

Wednesday 16 October – Havana mojito garden party with live reggae and ska.

Thursday 17 October – The Ambassador’s Party. From 6pm guests can experience a tasting with food pairings curated by chef Steve Green. Then for just £15 for 1 night only guests can try the Diplomatico flight including the Ambassador, Reserva Exclusiva, Reserva and the Añejo. Normally the Ambassador alone is £20.

Sunday 20 October – Tacky Tiki and Malibu present ‘The Zombie Jamboree’ complete with parlour games, fancy dress and ultimate cheesy music plus £5 Zombies all night.
