Here at Manchester Social 101 we love frequenting the local markets, and let’s face it there’s loads to choose from! We are thrilled to reveal that the second Northern Quarter Makers Market will be held this Sunday the 10th of April from 11am – 5pm, right in the center of Stevenson Square – form an orderly queue!
Following the success of the launch, yet again they have another corker trader line for you and this Sunday looks like you’ll need bring your shades again…..Winner!
This Sunday’s Maker’s Market line up is pretty special as we have a whole mix of super talented stall holders offering proper decent homemade food and drink, mega art pieces, unique and vintage homeware and cute little trinkets.
Street food cast includes Somtam Street known as the King and Queen of Thai street cuisine who will have you sampling proper authentic street food originating from family recipes from a combination of imported Asian ingredients and fresh locally farmed produce. Stomping Ground, rustling up a flavorsome fusion of organic and free range Turkish-English cuisine, What’s Your Beef and their bad boy British beef burgers … That’s Sunday lunch sorted!
The usual suspects are back but keep an eye out for some new faces which will include Victoria Rockston Design who will be exhibiting her awesome art, Dead thinks by Kate an ethically sourced taxidermist, Lucy lockets pocket and their gorgeous Yorkshire blankets, Cakes on wheels who will be mixing up an array of traditional cakes from banana bread to chocolate and rum bakes, returning for the first time this year and well known for their pretty and delicious macaroon’s will be the English Rose Bakery, Foodamentalists who will be offering a whole load of gluten and wheat free fodder. Did we mention that food makes us happy?!
With spring in full swing Oxey-Daisy will and their potting shed will have some herbacious plants, shrubs and plants perfect for getting the garden or balcony geared up for summer.
DJ Pasta Paul will be back spinning the wheels of steel allowing us to make the most of our weekend by casually guiding us through his phenomenal array of records.
So be sure to pop down have a mooch with the pooch and enjoy some eats, beats and treats.
