At this year’s inaugural Mancoolian Awards, Spinningfields has once again proved it is the place to be, with two of the estate’s management team up for awards.
Capital Properties Director, Mark Burgess, has been shortlisted for Property Personality of the Year and Holly Wood has made the final four for Employee of the Year.
Organised by Downtown Manchester in Business, the event will take place on 17th October at The Lowry Hotel. A diverse range of awards from ‘Sexy Networker’ to ‘Entrepreneur of the year’ will be presented to individuals who have demonstrated grit, determination and entrepreneurial flair during the past twelve months.
Having launched in 2012, Capital Properties, specialises in managing, alongside Spinningfields, other large mixed-use estates, with the ultimate aim of transforming them into a community with a strong identity and sense of place.
In its first year, the company has already enjoyed significant success, having been appointed by Ask Developments for First Street, Manchester and Aerium for Cannon Street in Earham, London, Chrisp Street for Poplar HARCA and New Dock in Leeds.
Mark Burgess said; “As a city, Manchester is a thriving, innovative place to live and work. Spinningfields has become a real hub for people to meet and socialise, as well as work, and Capital Properties is looking to replicate that success at our other estates. This nomination is recognition of all the hard work we’ve put in so far.”
Holly Wood said; “It’s great to have been nominated for this award. Over the last few years, we’ve worked hard to turn Spinningfields in to a real destination and we really feel that we’ve achieved that. The number of visitors here this Summer is evidence of that. And we’re not ready to stop here – we still have plenty of exciting plans in the pipeline, especially with Christmas coming up!”
