The highly anticipated Isle of MTV Malta is back in their 7th year with an
all-star international artist line up, to be held on the 26th June 2013.
The Malta Tourism Authority together with Viacom International
Media Networks has announced two of the world’s hottest new acts; Rita Ora
and dance collective Rudimental as the headlining artists in the line-up,
with more to be announced. This annual free outdoor music extravaganza has
become one of the most established events of the summer music calendar
attracting festival goers from near and far to come together for one,
unforgettable experience.
The eclectic, free open air European Music Event will rock the picturesque
Il Fosos Square, Floriana, Malta. Thousands of music lovers will descend
upon this historic sun kissed Mediterranean town to experience some of the
world’s most established artists. Isle of MTV has built a reputation for
showcasing some of the biggest names from the global music scene which has
seen the likes of Will.i.am, Flo Rida, Snoop Dogg, Lady Gaga, David Guetta,
The Black Eyed Peas and LMFAO perform in front of an audience of more
than 50,000 each year – with this years Isle of MTV Malta is going to be
bigger and better than ever.
The Minister for Tourism, Hon. Karmenu Vella said: ‘The partnership with
MTV is now in its seventh year and is delivering once again the much
awaited Isle of MTV Malta Special. The free open-air concert as well as the
Malta Music Week has become one of the most established events of the
summer music calendar attracting fans from all around Europe and beyond.
The Isle of MTV Malta promises to be a spectacular concert and a great
music event.’
Rita Ora, a smouldering UK songstress with a slice of attitude is the name
on everybody’s lips right now. Following her sizzling performance opening
at the MTV EMA in Frankfurt in November, Rita Ora is set to bring her
distinctive mash up of R&B and pop with a splash and funk to the Isle of
MTV stage. The 22-year-old British singer-songwriter caught the world’s
attention after being picked up by Jay-Z and signed to his
label Roc Nation. Her debut album Ora entered the UK album charts at No. 1
last year and gave rise to three No. 1 singles, making Rita Ora the artist
with the most No. 1 singles in the UK in 2012.
Bursting onto the international music scene in 2012, Rudimental are one of
the most exciting acts to emerge from the UK in recent years. On the back
of their breakthrough single Feel the Love, which reached No. 1 on the
official UK singles chart, and their powerful follow up track Not Giving
In, Rudimental recently embarked on their second international tour,
crossing the USA, Australia and the UK. Their debut album Home will be
released on April 29 via Asylum Records/Warner Music Group. “We can’t wait
to touch down in Malta to play live for MTV! See you all in June!” they
said.

Goodwood Racecourse has confirmed the three top artists who will DJ at the
legendary Three Friday Nights, which see an evening of exceptional horse
racing followed by a DJ set in the most incredible setting. 2013 arguably
boasts Goodwood’s most exciting line-up to date, with three huge names from
the music world transforming the picturesque Parade Ring into the coolest
dance floor under the stars.****

As one of the world’s most beautiful and highly regarded
racecourses, Goodwood has truly reinvigorated horse racing by juxtaposing a
classically British sport with the current passion for live, outdoor music
events. After an exciting evening of horses thundering down the straight,
the usually sedate Parade Ring turns into one of the most glamorous dance
