Manchester Social 101 was excited to be invited to the launch of Bloom, Long Bar and The Lawns – a welcome addition to Spinningfields!

Despite the rain closing in on Manchester, IN BLOOM and Long Bar launched in style on Wednesday, with VIP guests invited to sample the bars’ sumptuous food and drink menus.

The bars have proved an enormous hit already, taking over £100k in their first 10 days of operation. Sandwiching the newly-landscaped Lawns in Hardman Square, the two are very different in look and feel, with IN BLOOM focussing its ethos on being a celebration of greenery, nature, escapism, seasonality and living beauty, while Long Bar is an artistic building encapsulating street architecture, sculpture and public art.

With a brass band and hula girls to entertain guests, IN BLOOM served Bloom Gin cocktails, Prosecco and Bloom beer, along with deli boards, including cold meats, olives and hummus, while Long Bar offered a selection of their cocktails, including The Long Bar Iced Tea, and platters of their delicious hot sandwiches.

The success both bars have enjoyed since opening is further evidence of Spinningfields’ proven track record in the leisure sector, with independent operators flourishing on the estate, including the likes of The Alchemist, The Oast House, Southern 11, Neighbourhood and Australasia.

With a number of additional restaurants and bars due to open over the summer months, Spinningfields really has set out its stall as the place to come to eat and drink in the city.
