This is not a drill people… The Crystal Maze is coming to Manchester in 2017 with a brand spanking new and improved live experience. We couldn’t be more excited about this one!

The Crystal Maze live experience will be located in none other than Old Granada studios, a pace that is firmly in our hearts as the previous home to many great television programmes such as Coronation Street, Cracker and The Royale Family. We can’t help but concur that the gigantic film studios are the ideal setting for the much anticipated Crystal Maze experience.

In 2015, the public overwhelmingly backed little Lion Entertainment to bring back The Crystal Maze as a live experience people could play for themselves – it was the public’s turn to be the star of the show. They were delighted by the response, and a year later, the London show is sold out for months to come, with tens of thousands of people having been through the maze.

In spring 2017, it’s FINALLY time for Manchester to have a go. Not a moment too soon if you ask us!

We’re so excited to reveal that The Crystal Maze experience will be opening its doors in the very heart of manchester at this extremely famous venue, launching the incredible site with new and improved games, with bigger and better zones.

Here at Manchester Social 101 we like to have our finger on the pulse and dig a little bit deeper when it comes to being in the know, so we caught up with Tom Lionetti-Maguire, founder of Little Lion Entertainment to get the goss:

What can visitors expect?
Our visitors can expect all the wonders and joys of playing The Crystal Maze for themselves and more. What we strive to more than anything else is place people at the centre of the action, it’s your turn to be the star of the show! We will lovingly and faithfully recreate the Maze in all its glory and then our incredible staff and Maze Masters will bring it to life. All you need to do, is come along and see it for yourselves.
What’s the stand out?
Where to start; gigantic themed Medieval, Aztec, Future & Industrial sets akin to a giant indoor theme park, 32 games across these four zones, the famous Crystal Dome finale itself, a plethora of new characters in our Maze Masters, certainly the most fun team experience Manchester has seen in recent years- or the Richard o’Brien face masks in the gift shop… take your pick! The last one might not happen 😉
Will this become a permanent activity? 
Our shows are dreamt up, designed and built to stay! This isn’t a pop-up, we plan to be here for a while and become a part of Manchester’s rich cultural make-up.
What are the dates?
Tickets are on sale from April 2017, and can be found right now at www.the-crystal–maze.com. Tickets will go fast so be sure to grab them as soon as you can. An important addition for our Manchester venue is that we can now accommodate over 13 year olds, as long as they are accompanied by an adult, so it’s fun for the whole family.
