A giant pig from The Blue Pig Bar has gone on a rampage around Manchester city centre and anyone who discovers his whereabouts could win a trip for two to Paris.
The prize-winning blue pig can be found roaming the streets of Manchester from Saturday 28th September, in the lead up to The Blue Pig Bar’s first birthday celebrations, which culminate in a weird and wonderful party on Thursday October 3rd.
Those who discover the cheeky blue pig are being encouraged to take pictures of themselves with him and upload them to The Blue Pig Bar’s social media pages using the hashtag #BluePigBar, and they will automatically be entered into a draw to win one of 50 prizes of food and drink, including a weekend trip for two to Paris.
The Pig can be found at five different locations across Manchester during the week leading up to the birthday event, and daily clues will be given out on Facebook and Twitter so that people can track down his whereabouts.
The winners will be announced at The Blue Pig Bar’s First Birthday Party – where guests are invited to enter the curious world of The Blue Pig, to unveil a warming winter menu, premium cocktails and decadent new surroundings.
Live music on the night will be provided by the eclectic Gypsies of Bohemia, who have toured all over the UK and played at Glastonbury, Latitude, and alongside well known artists such as Plan B, Imelda May, Guy Garvey and Jesca Hoop, they will be followed by a DJ set from Gimme Shelter.
The Blue Pig Bar is a weird and wonderful drinking den in the Northern Quarter, where people come to drink and dance in to the night.

To enter the competition:
- Take a picture of yourself next to The Pig between Saturday 28th – Weds 2nd October and upload the picture to either Facebook, twitter and/or Instagram.
- Tag the photo with #BLUEPIGBAR to be entered in to the prize draw
- Each day clues will be provided on social media so that you can track down The Pig’s whereabouts.
- Every tagged picture featuring The Blue Pig uploaded during the week qualifies as an entry to the prize draw to win one of 50 prizes, including a trip to Paris.
- The draw will take place on the evening of Thursday 1st October at around 8pm
