It’s the football event of the summer and tickets are selling fast – City Live has now completely sold out of £30 seats, and Manchester City Football Club has now released £10 standing tickets.
A limited number of new seated tickets have also been made available for just £12.50 and, along with the £10 standing tickets, these are expected to sell out quickly.
The blue carpet will be well and truly rolled out on 8 August, when City Live takes centre stage at the iconic Manchester Central.
The sharpest frontman in the North West, Last Shadow Puppet and former Rascal, Miles Kane, is to headline the event, with what is sure to be an energetic performance of crowd pleasing indie rock – fresh from releasing his critically-acclaimed second album, Don’t Forget Who You Are.
And, in a preview of what is to come when he joins BT Sport’s Premier League team for the new season, respected football pundit Jake Humphrey will be taking to the stage as host, to provide expert commentary on all of the exclusive announcements made throughout the night.
City Live is sure to be the ultimate fixture on the pre-season calendar for fans, and will also see the highly anticipated end-of-season awards being presented, including Player of the Season and Moment of the Season.
Inspired by shows such as the MTV Music Awards, City Live will showcase what’s in store for the 2013/14 season, both on and off the pitch, whilst connecting local and global fans like never before.
It will also be the first chance for fans to get up close and personal with their heroes, too, when new Club signings such as Stevan Jovetic, Alvaro Negredo, Fernandinho and Jesus Navas will be presented to the City faithful. Manager Manuel Pellegrini will also answer questions sent in by fans live on stage.
City has also enlisted the support of lifelong Blue and funny man, Jason Manford. The comedian who hails from Manchester is a regular on match-days, having grown up on the Kippax as a boyhood City fan. Having already sold out two upcoming shows at the Manchester Arena, Manford will be making his home town return in front of the Etihad’s finest.
