Turn on, tune in and show your support for Manchester DJ, Sam Thompson (also known as DJ Bassduckfresh) who will be taking to the decks from 7pm tonight for a mammoth 48-hour long radio show (that’s TWO whole days) to raise awareness of male rape and sexual violence against men and boys.
The non-stop set will air on his radio show TFB Radio starting tonight until 7pm on Sunday – wowzas.
The radio-a-thon (is that even a word?!) is in aid of Survivors Manchester – an amazing charity which supports boys and men affected by sexual abuse, rape and sexual exploitation in Greater Manchester.
Having been a survivor of male rape last year, Sam bravely spoke out about his experience and wants to raise awareness of the work and support Survivors Manchester gave him and provides for others, as well as raise much needed funds.
Sam said: “When I was attacked last September, I desperately needed help and support to get me through it and Survivors Manchester was there for me. There are so few charities available to help men who have been raped or sexually abused that I wanted to help raise awareness and encourage people that help is out there and to break the silence.”
