Home is in the North returns to Manchester on Saturday November 15 to unite those with a passion for striking handmade items and unique interiors with the creative designers that make them.

Following a hugely successful launch in April earlier this year, Home is in the North returns to the opulent setting of Halle St Peters, situated in the heart of Ancoats.  The up and coming location’s industrial heritage offers a perfect synergy with the event which celebrates artists who specialise in re-defining traditional crafts.

From 11am -4pm, the travelling independent interiors event will host an eclectic mix of designer-makers, spanning from the West Midlands to the North West. The exhibitors will showcase their work from a variety of areas of design including textiles, glass, ceramics, metalwork, paper and wood.

The Autumn theme, ‘Make a house a home’, will focus on the presentation of restored traditional crafts and the use of unusual materials. With all work from the exhibitors on sale, it will provide the perfect opportunity for visitors to invest in unique collectable objects while also understanding the stories of the people who made them.

Visitors to Home is in the North with an appetite for learning more about contemporary craft and interior design can look forward to creative workshops, master classes and inspiring talks from industry experts.

A visual campaign has been designed by cardboard artist Lottie Smith to highlight the event’s ethos. The three dimensional design pays homage to the ‘Make a house a home’ theme, bringing a cardboard set to life using selected pieces from Home is in the North exhibitors.  The make-shift set will also exhibit at the event.

Founder of Home is in the North, Rachael Adams said: “We were overwhelmed by the response to Home is in the North’s launch back in April and we are extremely excited to return to the vibrant setting of Ancoats just in time for Christmas. With many more new exhibitors and some returning designers too, there is something for everyone. Whether you rent or buy your home, Home is in the North seeks to offer visitors something special that will put a personal stamp on their property”.

Working with Manchester Craft and Design Centre and Ministry of Craft, Home is in the North invites visitors from all over the North to explore the best of contemporary craft and interior design, from both established and emerging talents.
