HAILO, the world’s favourite taxi app that enables people to hail and pay for a cab with just two taps, is launching in Manchester.

And to celebrate, free taxi rides are on offer to locals from today.

Mancunians who register with Hailo can get £10 free credit* and can try out a hassle-free taxi experience without paying a penny.

In and around the city, hundreds of black cab drivers are actively testing the Hailo app, with hundreds more expected to join the world’s largest online taxi network now it has officially gone live. Do you need any more info or images at all?

Those in Manchester can now benefit from the same easy ride that Londoners have enjoyed for some time. When you use Hailo;

●        Taxis now come to you.

●        See all nearby taxis around you and hailo one with a tap on your smartphone.

●        Sit back and watch your taxi arrive live on a map.

●         It’s easy and safe. Passengers see a picture of their driver and their vehicle registration.

●        Hailo is free to use. Just pay what’s on the meter. Payment is automatic and effortless by credit or debit card.

●        Receipts are emailed instantly. No more fiddly pieces of paper to lose.

Caspar Woolley, Founder and Chief Operating Officer of Hailo, said: “We’ve always wanted to bring Hailo to Manchester. This buzzing city with its thriving business and entertainment hubs was a natural next step for Hailo. For passengers with busy lives, it means no more standing about in the rain trying to hail a cab, and no more late night stops at cash machines.”

Bob Azam, one of Hailo’s driver partners and a Manchester cabbie for 10 years, added: “I love that Hailo was founded by taxi drivers, for taxi drivers. Not only does it help us stay occupied more often, but passengers love the convenience of hailing by smartphone and having taxis drive to wherever they are.

Hailo is available as a free download from the iTunes App Store and Google Play. Simply search “Hailo”.

Between London and Dublin alone there are over a million registered passengers.

A Hailo hail is accepted around the world every two seconds from its global network of over 50,000 drivers.
